Julia Wolf
Julia Wolf was a researcher from 2014 – 2019 at weißensee school of art and design berlin. In her research and teaching she focuses on practice-based and explorative investigations of new material as well as the development of methods for transdisciplinary knowledge production.
Within her R&D projects, design methods are used to bridge the gap between science and design, to stimulate a close collaboration between the disciplines. Furthermore to involve the public in the world of new material developments and to make them visible, tangible and to break up closed discourses.
In her last project smart materials satellites she is involved in the conception, curation and realisation of various exhibitions, symposia and pop-up labs regarding new materials.
She studied Industrial Design at Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design.
Since 2019 she is a Lecturer at greenlab – Laboratory for Sustainable Design Strategies at weißensee school of art and design berlin and has her own practice as Designer and Researcher in Berlin.
