Elisabeth Oestringer
has been working as an design research assistant in the textile- and material design department at the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin since 2022 and has been part of the research project “Thema Pi” since 2024.
With a background in knitting design and knitting technology, she acts as an interface between research, design and technical, industrial implementation. She is particularly interested in the combination of sustainable material concepts, craftsmanship and new, digital implementation options.
She is a qualified textile designer with a diploma degree from the State Academy of Fine Arts, Stuttgart and worked, among other positions, for several years as a material and knitwear designer at Nike Inc. in the footwear sector.
