At the TheraTex Kids workshop, the system developed as part of the TheraTex research project was tested together with children affected by hemiparesis. The focus was on designing clothing and a feedback system specifically for this target group. The aim was to explore how the appearance of the clothing can increase motivation to wear the therapeutic system and how it should behave to playfully encourage children to incorporate their affected body side more into their movements. The children were given a wide selection of materials to work with and were able to actively participate in the manufacturing machines of the TPL and Fraunhofer IZM Pop-Up Labs. In addition, they were able to create and modulate the sounds of the auditory feedback themselves and later experience an interactive auditory story.
